Portalys allows the ordering party to optimize the preparation, management and dispatch of all his orders to his sub-contractors and suppliers. Together with the ERP and GPAO company systems, Portalys uses the same application to process parts orders on a tendering basis, to process orders for additional parts or repeat orders for contract parts. |
Through its full range of services, the Portalys Community solution also helps sub-contractors to manage their orders for materials and optimize their production costs. |

 The purchaser defines the series of operations to be executed for the various parts or unit assemblies of his project. |
He will select the companies consulted from an automatically pre-selected list, based on each of these operations. The requests for quotations are then sent to the sub-contractors concerned by way of a secure and encrypted Internet connection. The return quotations are automatically analyzed on the basis of cost, lead-time and quality of services offered, before any order is issued. | The personalization of the application means one can manage access rights, approval and the double signature, so as to comply with the purchase processes in force in each company. The sub-contractor database, which is the exclusive property of the company, can easily be updated and expanded by new companies. |
The sub-contractor is notified by electronic mail or fax that new requests for offers can be consulted on the ordering party's Portalys site. Because of the secure access, the sub-contractor will only examine those intended for his attention. Being clearly worded, they will include all the relevant information (nature of work, quantities, purchase conditions, lead times required, limits of validity of the offer etc.). He will be able to see directly any 2D drawings or relevant numeric 3D mock-ups and can even take measurements or zoom in to examine the details of each part to be executed. |
What this relates to in fact, is the setting up of a real environment of technological co-operation, allowing the sub-contractor to become involved in the design process. Wording of the offer takes place on line on the very site and is very easy thanks to the form provided for this purpose. Once the offer is validated it is immediately accessible to the purchaser concerned. |
On completion of negotiations, the sub-contractor again connects to the ordering party on the Portalys site to validate or reject the terms of the order sent to him. |
